NOTES: Diablo Valley took over the top spot by winning both relays of the evening.  Akbar Nasution won the 400 individual medley after dominating the field yesterday in the 500 free.  Nikos Kostianis from Cerritos left his mark on day 2, landing himself 2 first place finishes in the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke.  Diablo Valley’s strength prevailed as Joseph Natina took the 200 free with at 1:39.67.   Keisuke Yagi won the 100 Breaststroke keeping Pasadena in the top 10.

NOTES: Santa Rosa extends their lead with 77.5 points after day 2.  Diablo Valley took home the title in the 200 Medley Relay for the second year in a row.  Paloma Dinkel annihilated the field in the 200 Individual Medley posting a time of 2:07.55.  Kimberly Bierwith from Diablo Valley set a new state record in the 50 butterfly, and took home this year’s state title in the 50 backstroke.  American River’s Anne Scott defended her title in the 200 freestyle and won her second event of the weekend for the Beavers.  Scott claimed the State’s Fastest Woman title by winning the 50 free yesterday and will go for a sweep of the sprint events tomorrow in the 100 free for her second straight year.  Cuesta College’s Amanda Takahashi took first place in the 50 breaststroke with a time of :31.78.
